The other match-ups in the quarter-finals seem too straightforward for me. The only intriguing one is this. Kerber is a human backboard whose mental strength is outstanding. On the other hand, Ivanovic has had success on this surface before but her head has been missing for a while. Will Ana believe in herself again and clinch her first significant win in recent times? Kerber has already outlasted a former Roland Garros champion in Kuznetsova. Can she do the same against Ivanovic? Ana needs to swing freely and dictate the points to stand a chance. Kerber can be defeated, Ana just needs to believe in herself. That said, I don't think Ana has it in her head to complete the upset.
