Madrid scorecard: Down with cheaters and brats

A+: Serena Williams

Dominance despite struggling against Anabel Medina Garrigues. Thankfully took care of the cheater.

A: Maria Sharapova

Straight setted her way to the finals to get easily bulldozed by Serena. Turns to jelly when Serena's opposite the net.

A-: Ana Ivanovic

Blitzed past Kerber to earn her semi-final spot. Seems to be slowly improving.

B+: Kaia Kanepi

Coming back from an injury, snaps into competition mode in no time. Will be so much higer ranked if she stays healthy.

B: Ekaterina Makarova

Not a natural clay-courter but took care of Azarenka. (Well, Azarenka took care of herself)

B-: Laura Robson

So close yet so far. Impressive win over Radwanska but choked badly against Ivanovic.

C+: Yaroslava Shvedova

Finally back to her winning ways on her favourite surface, but stopped by injury unfortunately.

C: Svetlana Kuznetsova

Fragile mentality back against Kerber. But took out old rival in Nadia Petrova.

C-: Daniela Hantuchova

Took out the ever volatile Kvitova, but too old to sustain her momentum.

D: Agnieszka Radwanska

Uninspired play and looked clueless against on fire Robson. Surely the world number 4 should be able to handle the onslaught.

E: Victoria Azarenka

Imploded badly on court, casting a very bad image of WTA. Brattish behaviour needs to go NOW. Just when you thought she got it contained.

F: Anabel Medina Garrigues

I don't care that she reached the quarter-finals. Her attempt to fluff the new balls during changeovers is despicable and downright disgusting. She should be fined, banned from tournaments, or both. NO respect for this girl. Classless.
