Wimbledon report card: Wacky, Wonky Wimbledon

A+: Marion Bartoli

From having a horror season to winning her first Wimbledon. Can't get any crazier than that.

A: Sabine Lisicki

Played the worst match of her life in her most important one. Hopefully will gain confidence from this run.

A-: Kirsten Flipkens

Ranked 226 a year ago, went on a tear at the encouragement of Kim Clijsters. Maybe there is still hope after Kim and Justine.

B+: Monica Puig

Breakthrough star of the tournament. Definitely one to look for in the future.

B: Tsvetana Pironkova

Impressive on grass as always. Could have caused more repercussions if not for her injury.

B-: Madison Keys

Lost a tough on to Radwanska. If she can win the important points, things might be different.

C+: Agnieszka Radwanska

Yes, she reached the semi-finals. But her behaviour after her loss is just shameful. Sore loser.

C: Kimiko Date-Krumm

Oldest woman to reach the 3rd round. Still very passionate about tennis even though she will never replicate her heights.

C-: Serena Williams

Pressure got to her and crumbled badly against an inspire Lisicki. This will definitely make her hungrier though.

D: Maria Sharapova

Was surprisingly outhit and outscreamed by Larcher de Brito. Never found her footing on grass.

E: Caroline Wozniacki

Had an unfortunate injury but was bound to lose to Cetkovska anyway. Still manages to stay in the top 10 though.

F: Sara Errani

Wimbledon ought to think about re-seeding the players as Errani is as good as a bye on this surface.
