Brussels:
(1) Agnieszka Radwanska vs. (8) Kaia Kanepi
Agnieszka is the obvious favourite here. But take a look at her opponents. None of them are world-beaters. She faces her real big test here in Kaia Kanepi. Kaia is prone to having great tournaments followed by lousy ones. If she manages to win here, I expect an early exit in Paris. LOL. Anyway, Aga will drive Kaia crazy with her dropshots and junk balls and Kaia isn't exactly a good mover. So I expect the Pole to take this easily.
Pick: Radwanska in straight sets
Simona Halep vs. Sofia Arvidsson
Should be a no-brainer on who is the favourite here. I predicted that the finals will be between Radwanska and Halep and it's going to come true. Simona has already beaten 3 higher ranked players this week. She will not fall to Sofia, who is really quite plain on clay.
Pick: Halep in straights
Strasbourg:
(2) Francesca Schiavone vs. Sloane Stephens
Sloane has had a great week, but she has Maria Kirilenko to thank for after she retired in her match. Facing a rejuvenated Francesca, I'm guessing the American's run stops here. Francesca looks refreshed and more like the player who reached the Paris finals last year. Easy match for the Italian.
Pick: Schiavone in straights
Pauline Parmentier vs. Alize Cornet
Battle of the French ladies here! The finals will definitely feature a Frenchwoman which is great for this tournament. Cornet fought off Anabel Medina Garrigues in impressive fashion in the previous round and I'm guessing she will bring that level of confidence into this match. Cornet needs to get inside the head of Pauline, who is prone to give up when things are exactly going her way. I'm going with Alize for the final.
Pick: Cornet in 2 tight sets
