The GOAT is back!

And the Madrid final turned out to be quite an anti-climax. The match between the current world number 1, Victoria Azarenka and possibly the (Greatest Of All Time) GOAT, Serena Williams, lasted for just about an hour. Azarenka was thrashed 6-1 6-3 by the ruthless Serena Williams.

Serena was untouchable on her serve. Facing only 1 break point throughout the match, she gave Victoria a free lesson on how to be dominating as a number 1 player. Azarenka looked flat, she didn't even try to reach for some of Serena's bullets.

With this win, Serena wins her first European clay court tournament since... 2002 Roland Garros! Wow, it's a decade since her last clay slam. This will surely propel her to the top of the bookie's list. And this will no doubt boost her confidence going into the French Open. And we all know what a confident Serena Williams can do. So the rest of the field... I recommend wearing bullet-proof vests. Congratulations Serena on yet another impressive win. :)
