First slam semi-finals, first slam finals. Gave a good account of herself in the finals.
A-: Yaroslava Shvedova
Golden set against Sara Errani. Gave Serena a scare in her 4th round match.
B+: Victoria Azarenka
Demolished Ana Ivanovic and kept the scoreline close despite facing Serverena.
B-: Angelique Kerber
Another semi-finals, clean tennis against Kim Clijsters. But faltered badly against Radwanska.
C+: Zheng Jie
Pocket rocket gave Serena a good workout.
C: Sabine Lisicki
Upset Maria Sharapova. But unable to back it up.
C-: Tamira Paszek
A good run after dispatching Wozniacki and winning Eastbourne.
D: Petra Kvitova
Failed to defend her title, but losing to eventual champion isn't something to be ashamed of.
E: Kim Clijsters; Maria Sharapova
Kim: Just wasn't there in her fourth round match. A sad way to end her career in Wimbledon.
Maria: A wide open path the the finals and she screws it up. Disappointing.
F: Venus Williams; Li Na; Caroline Wozniacki
Venus: Ok, she's injured/sick... Sad to see her struggling.
Li: Shameful loss to Cirstea. Otherwise, she would have reached the semi-finals at least. Another brain-fart moment from Li.
Caroline: Showed the door again facing someone who overpowered her. Can't blame her though. She is making changes to her game, the results will not be immediate.
