Will Kuznetsova continue her giant killing run? Or will she suffer another letdown as shown in last year's Roland Garros? Kerber perfected Wozniacki's style of defensive play and Kuznetsova will be feeling the effects of 5 matches in a short span of time. Kerber will make the Russian hit that one extra ball which Svetlana might be too exhuasted to think clearly. I'm hoping for a fairytale finish for Sveta, but I think Kerber will prevail.

Dominika barely survived the challenge of Makarova in her previous round and will have to take on the feisty Italian, Sara Errani in the quarter-finals. Cibulkova always had a problem with players with kick serves but she won't be facing that problem this time. Errani's serve is frankly, much less to be desired. Cibulkova will happily slap the serves for winners throughout the day. The key thing for Dominika is to hold her own fragile serve. This contest will be a battle of who holds serve first. Although Sara is the higher ranked player, I have a feeling that Cibulkova will win this time.

Klara Zakopalova vs. Tsvetana Pironkova

Klara Zakopalova continues to steamroll her opponents and I do not see her momentum stopping. Pironkova can be a nuisance when she's on, but when her game isn't working, her game can be quite an eyesore. Klara's game right now should be enough to exploit that woeful forehand of the Bulgarian and hit her out of the court. Zakopalova will win this, unless the Czech falls sick or twists her ankle during the match. *touch wood*
