Match focus:

Laura Robson vs. Daniela Hantuchova

Daniela is one win away from her 500th win and standing in her way is Laura Robson. There is no question who the crowd will cheer for but Daniela is a good grass court player. She can trouble the top players when she's clicking. With her ranking falling, I expect Daniela to have less pressure on her shoulders. Laura, however, will be burdened with the high British expectations. This is a good test for the young Brit, to see if she's ready for the big stage.

Pick: Hantuchova in 3 sets

Heather Watson vs. Alla Kudryavtseva

Heather Watson finally won her first match since Febuary in Memphis. Is she finally back? Her path looks promising as her opponent is Alla Kudryavtseva, a qualifier. But Alla is an adept grass court player who famously upset Sharapova in Wimbledon a few years ago. If Heather lets her guard down, she might be in real trouble. Alla has had a few matches on the grass courts now and I believe she can pull the upset against the pressurized Brit.

Pick: Kudryavtseva in 3 sets

Julia Goerges vs. Andrea Petkovic

Clash of the Germans here as Julia surprisingly won a match here. These 2 will know each other's game well having been Fed Cup team mates. Julia is just too volatile to predict so I'm going with Petkovic who's the steadier one. She has gotten into the habit of winning again and should be able to make Julia work for her points.

Pick: Petkovic in 2 sets

Sure win bets: Jelena Jankovic, Francesca Schiavone, Magdalena Rybarikova
Upset alert: Julia Goerges, Kristina Mladenovic, Heather Watson
