Shockers:

Urzsula Radwanska def. (2) Marion Bartoli 6-4 6-2

Oh my lord Marion. What a puzzling loss here. I know you're in a slump but losing to Urzsula Radwanska takes the cake. An atrocious match where both players don't know how to hold serve. It featured 9 breaks of serves with Bartoli double faulting 9 times! I don't know what to say about this but I'm guessing Marion is already looking forward to the grass season.

Tsvetana Pironkova def. Nadia Petrova 6-3 6-2

Only Nadia Petrova can play GOAT tennis one day and play like an amateur the next. Nadia took a set off the GOAT last week but has a shocking loss this week against walking bye, Pironkova. FYI, Pironkova has been on a 5 match losing streak including losses with bagel sets and a loss to unknown Carina Witthoeft (?!). With a first serve percentage of 46%, you would have expected Nadia to break Tsvetana's serve, but no! Tsvetana wasn't broken once. Nadia must have stinked up the court with her horrific returns. I guess this is Nadia's last year on tour and I hope she doesn't go out on a whimper.

(Q) Alexandra Panova def. Lucie Hradecka 6-3 4-6 6-3

Another player falls to Alexandra Panova! After surprising Mona Barthel, Panova continues her good form by beating Madrid semi-finalist, Lucie Hradecka. Alexandra has been languishing in the ITFs for a while now but had a breakthrough this year by reaching the finals of Bogota. It seems like this Russian is really comfortable on the red stuff, posting her best results here. As for Lucie, another freak loss for this unpredictable Czech. If only she can reign in her massive game, she'll be a big threat.
