The amount of fight Venus Williams has displayed in this tournament is enough to make anyone support her. Despite being plagued by her illness, she fought her way through her matches and deservingly reached the semi-finals. She will now face Montreal finalist Li Na for a place in the finals. Li and Venus have faced off 2 times and Li emerged the winner both times. Let's hope Venus will reverse this and clinch her first win and reach her first final of her comeback.

Petra Kvitova vs. Angelique Kerber
After scraping through her first match here against Mona Barthel, Kvitova has been demolishing her opponents in straight sets. The Montreal champion is on an 8 match winning streak and will take on Serena Williams' conquerer, Angelique Kerber. Their heads-to-heads is tied at 1 all, both being on red clay this year. I believe Kvitova is a bit tired from so many matches and Kerber is riding high on confidence after defeating Serena. The German just needs to make Kvitova think and hit that one more ball.
