Olympics: Report card

A+: Serena Williams

Golden slam, winning both doubles and singles. Unstoppable. Undeniably the greatest of all time.

A: Victoria Azarenka

Fought off a spirited Kerber in the semis. Gave a better fight against Serena. Would have been in the final if in the opposite half.

A-: Angelique Kerber

Gave Victoria a good fight. Would have won a medal if in Radwanska's quarter.

B+: Maria Sharapova

Silver medallist but humiliated in the finals. Did well to fight an ailing Clijsters though.

B: Maria Kirilenko

Unexpected finalist after upsetting Petra Kvitova. However, when Petra's off, there's nothing much the opponent can do.

B-: Caroline Wozniacki

Signs of being back on track. However, destroyed by Serena.

C+: Kim Clijsters

Cannot play to her potential anymore with her broken body. Did very well to reach quarter-finals.

C+: Julia Goerges

Seems to be happy reaching 3rd rounds. After playing amazing attacking tennis to take out Radwanska, lost to Kirilenko

D: Sara Errani

Not a grass courter and losing to Venus Williams is no shame. But expected more of a fight from a top 10 player.

E: Petra Kvitova

Urgh. Just when you thought she has played herself to form, she throws in a shitastic performance.

F: Agnieszka Radwanska

Uninspired play. Sore loser after loss by saying slams are more important than a gold medal. The only weak link in the top 4.
