Quebec City:
Kirsten Flipkens def. Lucie Hradecka 6-1 7-5
Kirsten Flipkens reached her first WTA final and claimed her first title this week in Quebec City. Just 2 months ago, this Belgian couldn't even qualify for the Wimbledon qualifiers but right now is the proud owner of a WTA title. Shows how weird momentum works. Flipkens had the luck of facing Lucie Hradecka, who is so nervous that she couldn't do anything right. With her high risk game, Lucie will miss awfully if she's not confident. It would be an interesting final if Elena Vesnina and Lucie Hradecka faced off in a final. It would be a match of epic proportions, but for all the wrong reason. Congrats to Kirsten for a well deserved victory.
